Universal Germplasm Bank
What things are necessary to preserve as an individual and as a society?
What are the adequate ways to preserve them in time?
This work takes its inspiration from the conservation process the artist studied at Palermo’s botanical garden. The artist focused on developing a personal conservation bank ranging from memories to cereals and Hegelian monocotyledons.
The artist used the same scientific methodology as Palermo’s botanical garden to seal each test tube, which is filled with elements that are important for the artist to preserve, such as pumpkin seeds, quinoa, and beans.
Installation, 2012
