Family Minutes is an eight-minute long movie created by the artist through re-editing eight years of family movies.

The artist chooses unfocused, off-camera moments captured through the lens of her family’s camera to re-examine her childhood story.

Tanino: Il bianco basta. L’hai accesa? 

              Enough with the white. Did you turn it on?

Rita: Sì. 

         Yes.

Tanino: Sì, ma basta. Sei pronta per... basta! 

               Yes, but enough. If you are ready... enough!

Rita: Ah, due secondi si fa? 

         Oh, two seconds, do I have to do it?

Tanino: Qua, da Marien puoi riprendere. -

              Here, from Marien you can start to record.

Rita: Si vedono le cose troppo vicine. -

          The things seen are too close.

Tanino: Come? -

              What?

Rita: Niente, niente. Guardati la strada... No, io non sono brava. Io non sono capace. -

          Nothing, nothing, look at the street... No, I'm not good at it, I don't know how to do it.

Tanino: E allora spegni. -

               Turn it off then.

Rita: Perchè io non vedo bene, capisci? -

          It's because I can't see well, don’t you understand?

Tanino: Perché non vedi bene? Basta, dai, non è che... Rita il lago, il lago, il lago! Quando tu non vedi, metti                      “pausa” e ti inquadri meglio la situazione. -

             Why don't you see well? Enough, come on, it’s not that... Rita the lake, the lake, the lake!  When you                     can't see, "pause" and frame the moment better.

Rita: Bello è per ora?

          Is it beautiful now?

Tanino: Bello è, non lo noti? -

              Yes, it's nice, don't you notice it?

Rita: Non vedo una minchia. -

          I can't fucking see anything.

Tanino: Fai una panoramica, fai. -

              Take a panoramic.

Rita: Cosa...?-

          What?

Tanino: Fai uno zoom in lontananza. -

               Zoom in from far away. 

Rita: Qui il lago ancora si vede... no? -

           Is the lake still visible from here… huh?

Tanino: Niente, lascia perdere... -

              Nothing, just give up...
